A medical center that supports Japanese people living overseas

We were established in 1983 as an affiliated hospital of the Kurashiki Adult Disease Center (Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture) to provide medical support to Japanese nationals living overseas in Singapore and neighboring countries. We provide the same medical services as in Japan so that Japanese nationals can receive treatment abroad without worrying about differences in language, medical systems, medications, or illnesses that are unfamiliar to them in Japan.

This is a clinic where you can receive medical treatment from Japanese doctors

The clinic is run by a team of doctors, primarily Japanese doctors and Japanese-speaking doctors, as well as Japanese staff such as nurses, pharmacists and receptionists, working together with Singaporean staff. The Japanese doctors hold Japanese medical licenses and have been officially granted permission by the Singaporean government to provide outpatient treatment for Japanese nationals. There is no need to worry about language barriers, and patients can receive treatment in an atmosphere that feels like they are in a clinic in Japan. In addition to Japanese doctors, local doctors also provide medical care, so patients of other nationalities can also receive treatment.

This is a comprehensive outpatient treatment center.

The outpatient department provides general medical care, focusing on internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, orthopedics and gynecology. For other specialties, we provide general medical care and will refer patients to outside specialists if surgery or hospitalization is required. The ophthalmology department is managed by a Singaporean specialist (with a Japanese interpreter). If necessary after examination, a Japanese physiotherapist can provide pain treatment and rehabilitation on-site. JGH Dental also offers general dentistry, orthodontics and implant services.

This clinic is the gateway to specialist and inpatient treatment services in Singapore.

If, after being examined by our doctors, further tests, specialist treatment or surgery are necessary, we will use our specialist network to arrange for you to be referred to a specialist such as Paragon Medical (in our building). We have over 100 affiliated specialists, covering all major specialties. If you wish, our medical coordinator can accompany you to see a specialist, so you can have peace of mind even if it is your first time seeing a specialist. Our clinic is equipped with testing facilities including X-ray, ultrasound, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, pulmonary function test, electrocardiogram, clinical test (blood, urine, stool, etc.), hearing test and eye examination. We can provide blood and urine test results in the clinic, as well as rapid tests for dengue fever, respiratory syncytial virus, strep throat, etc. on the same day of your visit. We also accept cashless medical services and corporate payments.

This cashless medical service is affiliated with major insurance companies and support services in Japan and elsewhere. If you have overseas travel insurance, we can claim your medical expenses for illness or injury directly from the insurance company. If you have a pre-contract, we can also bill your employer. (Note: The scope of treatment covered by insurance will vary depending on your insurance plan, so we recommend checking with your insurance company before your visit.) We also fill in the details of your medical treatment and receipts to claim your overseas medical expenses to your Japanese health insurance association.

We also provide periodic health check-ups and prepare health certificates.

Our health screening department offers a variety of courses for adults and children, as well as a variety of optional tests, to provide Japanese-style health screening services tailored to Japanese people. We also handle medical tests for long-term residence permits in Singapore, such as the S Pass, and prepare health certificates for examinations and entrance exams. To prevent infection, the reception and health screening lobby are separated from the outpatient clinic, allowing you to have your health check-up with peace of mind.

Vaccination and health check-up services are also available for newborns.

We provide vaccinations for polio, measles, rubella, mumps, Japanese encephalitis and other diseases, as well as newborn health checks. We also provide hepatitis A and hepatitis B vaccines, which are relatively common in Southeast Asia, as well as rabies and typhoid vaccines, which are recommended for those traveling from Singapore to neighboring countries for business or pleasure, and influenza vaccines. We also provide English-language immunization certificates based on the maternal and child health handbook, and provide vaccination registration forms in Singapore. Newborn health checks are performed by pediatricians or general practitioners with experience in treating children.
